Jacky Fitzpatrick has over 25 years’ experience working in nursing, residential and dementia care, as well as acquired and traumatic brain injury. Having started her career as a carer, Jacky has worked in nursing homes focusing on rehabilitation of the elderly, as well as managed a large local day centre for older people. She had previously been in a management position at two specialist care homes, prior to joining the Spinney team in January 2017.
Jacky holds the Registered Manager award and the BTEC Diploma in Mental Health. More recently Jacky completed professional training with the Alzheimer’s Society and is accredited to train others in the field of dementia care.
Jacky says: “Everyone feels part of a big family here at The Spinney. I love the fact that we can make a difference to the lives of the people here, not just for our residents, but for their families and friends as well. I feel very lucky that I am able to work in a profession that I love and that gives such amazing rewards.”
